You're Not a Criminal, Are You?
I know I've been slacking with my correspondence with this email scammer. He's probably given up on me, but I made up an excuse.
Someone told me his co-worker might be a criminal!
- Ken,
when I went back to the Western Union Big Kmart Jamie, the girl at the counter, told me that Western Union put a hold on the money transfer because there was a suspicion of criminal activity.
Apparently, there is a Mr Alton Smith in Houston that there have been some wire fraud complaints made against and Western Union is holding all transfers to him while an investigation is pending.
That's why when he went to get the money they told him there was a problem.
I haven't written to you for such a long time because of this.
I guess, I thought you were probably somehow involved.
But, I desperately need this money.
So, I went down to the Big KMart again and asked them about you, Mr Ken Franklin. Jamie made soem calls for me and found that your name was clear.
I really appologize for thinking that you were involved in some sort of criminal activity. I should have known that just because one bank employee is a suspected criminal not everyone at the bank is a bad apple.
I know I may have screwed up the wire transfer with my delay, but is it possible I can send the transfer fee to someone else in the US office?
Please let me know soon.
Merideth
