My New House
Not too long ago I decided to buy a house in a different neighborhood in the city. After a little searching I found a nice house for $7,500.
With a little elbow grease and a couple things like a new roof and some floors I thought it would come together rather nicely.
I haven't closed on it yet, but I will next month. And I'm excited. I'd love to tell you all about the house and the neighborhood, but I'm afraid I'm not that good with words.
I did find a nice picture of the neighborhood, however, in an article in the City Paper. You can read the article on-line, it's called Murder by Numbers: A Look Behind The Sad Statistics Of Baltimore’s 2005 Homicide Toll.

I don't know whether you are joking or not about that house but if you don't want that $7500.00 house, I'll be will to take it off your hands. The 1900 block of Lombard might be a little dicey right now but at least you can park your vehicle somewhere in the vicinity of your house and your property assessment would be a delicious 4 digit number, rather than the more than doubling 6 digit number the assessor's office came up for my little crapass row home. I am thinking about offering up my first born child rather than pay my tax bill this year, it's cheaper.
I'm seriously ready for the West Side.

7500 is pretty expensive for the area.
this one for 5000 is only a couple blocks away
