I Can't Think

My head is filled with this crap. Some of it is memories, some of it is just garbage. There are a lot of wood chips. There is a lot of old gum (the hard kind).
I can't always make my way through that stuff on my own; with help I can.

I'm much better in a conversational situation. So converse with me. Tell me something. Ask me something. I really want you to tell me about it.

I saw a long time ago you posted something talking about MD 20/20. (Or Mad Dog as we called it in high school.) That stuff rocks. Pink grapefruit was my favorite, until I drank too many one night and puked for almost 8 hours straight.

Ahh. MD 20/20. I remember that stuff like it was yesterday.
I'll tell you a little about it next.

what's the last book you read that you really liked?

what's your greatest guilty pleasure?

what's your current theme song?

what's the best movie you've seen (in the theater, or on recorded media) in the past 12 months?

you asked for it...

what countries have barred your entrance and why?

We need to use our time share week banked from 2004, I am in the process of talking Cheryl into letting me invite you. She wants to go to Napa, would you be interested in coming?

OK. Mad Dog story.
Story about being kicked out of the Ukraine.
Story about what I did in Napa (I'm assuming Napa Valley, CA - sure, what the hell, I'll go) whenever I get back from there. Whenever I go.

But personal questions? Of all things, why personal questions? Those are hard to put into stories. I'll try. But I'll just go ahead and answer some of them right here. Right now.

The last book that I really liked? Considering that I don't really read a lot it should be easy. But it's not. I like most of the books that I read - if I don't like them I don't read them. So, what was the last book that I liked more than usual? I really liked Dave Eggers's style in A Heartbraking Work of Staggering Genius, but I thought the plot of the Corrections (Franzen) was a lot better. It didn't make me think the way The Executioner's Song by Norman Mailer did, though.
Ok. So over the past year I probably really liked Middlesex (Eugenides) the most. But I feel like I'm forgetting something big.

Current theme song?
At least once a day I have this song, Xiquexique, by Tom Ze running through my head. But that's not much of a theme song, just one that keeps finding its way into my head every day. I find myself listening to She Moves She by Four Tet almost every day, but that's just because I enjoy it. The same goes for Single Again by the Fiery Furnaces, though I want my pockets to jingle. So, maybe, since I'm a pervert it'd be In a Young Man's Mind by the Mooney Suzuki.

Best Movie? Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. (Unless that was over a year ago, then A Very Long Engagement.)

more?
